Chapati (Roti)
Soft and fluffy Pakistani flatbread made with whole wheat flour. Perfect accompaniment to any curry.
Instructions

Mix flour and salt in a bowl.

Add oil and gradually add warm water while mixing.

Knead into a soft, smooth dough. Cover and rest for 15 minutes.

Divide dough into 8 equal portions.

Roll each portion into a thin circle using a rolling pin.

Heat a tawa or griddle over medium-high heat.

Place chapati on hot tawa and cook for 30 seconds.

Flip and cook the other side until light brown spots appear.

For puffed chapati, place directly over flame for a few seconds.

Serve hot with butter or ghee.
